2015 was the beginning of the journey. On a trip, the sight of a teacher from the remote areas of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Indonesia, who had to <\/span>swim<\/b> in the ocean strengthened the hearts of Insan Bumi Mandiri\u2019s founders to create a movement that could help the people in remote areas<\/span><\/p>

2016 Insan Bumi Mandiri was first established, sailing the Education Boat program for teachers and students in the remote area.<\/span><\/p>

2017 kindness cruise received a lot of support. A total of 58 programs were implemented, making more than 8,300 beneficiaries happy<\/span><\/p>

2018 marks a new history for the voyage of kindness to the hinterland. Not only East Nusa Tenggara, 129 programs sailed for more than 14,800 residents in the remote areas of South Sumatra (SumSel), West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), and other inland areas.<\/span><\/p>

2019 was a tough year. The pandemic restricted movement. But kindness always finds a way. 123 programs set sail to help more than 33,300 people in rural areas.<\/span><\/p>

2020-2022 is also not an easy year. But the voyage of kindness must not stop. More than 600 donations were made to those in need.<\/span><\/p>

New milestones include the establishment of a second weaving center in Belu (on the Indonesia-Timor Leste border) and the expansion of empowerment areas to the Ende (a remote areas in East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia) area in 2023, which benefited over 100 women weavers. Easy access to clean water following the launch of clean water access in three communities in Alor, East Nusa Tenggara, adds to the series of enjoyment caused by the positive impact.<\/span>

<\/p>

This is not the end of the story. The remote areas still needs us. East Nusa Tenggara, which occupies the first position as a province with a high malnutrition rate, limited access to education which is the right of the nation’s future children, to access to health that is far from being seen.<\/span><\/p>
